Big 3 Campaign

Fall 2026 marks the beginning of the EBSO’s third season, ending of an era of “firsts” and beginning a critical and exciting time in cementing the future of East Brunswick’s flagship arts institution. As we continue to pursue our mission to educate, entertain and bring communities together through the inspirational power of music, we are requesting your support to enter year three with our strongest foundation of support ever.

Through our Big 3 Campaign, the EBSO aims to raise $30,000 in individual contributions to support our mission-centered goals around community, capacity, and opportunity. These goals and values reflect both how far we have come and where we hope to go, strengthening the organization while deepening our

impact in the community we serve. To help build momentum, our Board has committed to match the first $10,000 raised, representing a third of our overall goal. The campaign is centered around three guiding priorities: Community, Capacity, and Opportunity.

Community is at the heart of who we are. As a community orchestra, we believe music has the power to bring people together, inspire connection, and foster pride in the place we call home. We are committed not only to providing meaningful opportunities for amateur and community musicians, but also to serving our broader community through partnerships, outreach efforts, and accessible experiences. We want individuals and families throughout our region to experience the many benefits that music can bring and to see the EBSO as a source of shared identity and community pride.

Capacity focuses on ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of our organization. Campaign support will allow us to invest in areas that strengthen and expand our ability to serve our community, including instruments and equipment, staffing needs, and strategic initiatives that increase organizational capacity. These investments will help ensure that the EBSO continues to evolve, grow, and thrive for years to come.

Finally, Opportunity reflects our belief that music is for everyone. We are committed to expanding access and creating more opportunities for people to engage with the arts in meaningful ways. Together, we can continue creating a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable future for music in East Brunswick.

Community

More partnerships.

Collaborations and partnerships remain a cornerstone of our mission. We believe in the power of the arts to foster community, boost civic engagement, promote health and wellness, and stimulate the local economy, and we want all of our community to experience those benefits. Future concerts aim to feature even more community organizations and businesses, continuing to highlight the businesses, organizations, and individuals already making an impact in their disciplines and our community and how the arts can impact all of our lives.

More musicians.

We know the impact making music and being part of a community has, so we are aiming to increase enrollment in our community music offerings by offering more courses, investing in recruitment, and offering more discounts and scholarships to those facing financial obstacles to enrollment.

More concerts.

We want to perform more concerts each year, including at new venues, to increase audience sizes and the overall reach and impact of our programs.

More audience members.

We have met so many members of our community in these two years, but we want to see, meet, and give even more of you the chance to attend a concert!

More of what YOU want.

We are so grateful for the community support and feedback we have received in our first two years, and we want to give you what you have asked for! In year three and beyond, we want to pursue the opportunities our community has asked for, like film and cultural events, bigger venues, more free and outdoor concerts, audience receptions and opportunities to engage with musicians, and so much more!
